You'll need to provide a lot more information before anyone can give a sensible answer. What's your beer in ATM? FV? Old sock? Pigs bladder? How long has it been there?
Best wishes

I'd be inclined to leave it. Put it down to experience and maybe next time use a more floculent yeast strain. If you've got the bottles, why don't you simply use them for your next brew?

You mean go start from fermention into the bottles, but is it ok to move the brew to bottles now.

I still don't understand what your problem is. Why do you feel you need to move the beer from the barrel to bottles before starting a new brew? You've not made the mistake of using the barrel as a fermenting vessel have you?carl5718 wrote:i want to move the brew from my pressure barrel into bottles so i can start my new brew is this ok

Personally, I would get it bottled up. It will clear in the bottles so it should be OK.

Re: moving my beer to bottles
As Badger says, the simple solution sounds to be, get your new brew going in your FV, then bottle it and leave the current brew to clear in the barrel. If you really want to move it (or part of it, just to try it out) it can be done. I have moved frome barrel to bottle and even bottle to bottle. I have done it to take ale to a party etc.
I chilled the ale really cold to sart with, so it retains the carbonation and has less frothing when transfered. I then filled the chilled and sanitised bottles close to the top (I always use PET bottles) I have also added priming sugar to the bottles on occasions and given them another week in a warm place before chilling them again. I have found this of use for travel or if I have a part of a 2 litre bottle left over, I have then transfered to a smaller bottle (not that I often have partly drunk bottles

Re: moving my beer to bottles
Using the barrel as a fermenter is not a good idea. Get yourself a proper FV. They only cost about £8.

I dont think he meant that he brewed in the barrel.
he just wants the barrel free for the next brew.
why not simply drink the contents whilst getting the next brew on?
then buy more kegs!
get a rolling supply going, and this dilema disappears!
capacity is the issue.
it will take a few weeks to clear and be at it's best, so patience or more kegs/bottles is the answer.
personally, I'd leave that one alone in the keg as you'll risk oxidising it when transferring to bottle.
next time, bottle some and get some of the same batch.
that way you've got some party portables, and keg home drinks.
