a porter I'm planning to brew, 19L @ 7-8% ? It's all I have at hand at the mo. Two packets? Or should I get hold of something that can handle a strong brew?

Thanks for any advice.

Safale S04 is a great yeast for stouts and porters. I'd pitch 2 or three packets into something that strong, make sure you get a lot of air into the wort before pitching

I think S-04 works well in darker beers - and I'm no fan of it in bitters.

It is my choice for imperial stout.
I'm just here for the beer.
