Northern Craftbrewers Autumn Meeting 31st October 2009

Post by Aleman » Wed Sep 23, 2009 7:27 pm

Date 31st October
Time 12:00 for a 1:00 Start
Venue The Sportsman - (5 Minutes from Huddersfield Railway Station) 1-3 St John Street, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 5AY.

Some geezer is going to give a semi technical talk on brewing with soft water which will probably turn into a question and answer session . . . There will also be beer . . . It's a pub after all.

Apparently the room is quite small and it should be cozy, which means that hecklers should be prepared to duck ;)

All are welcome . . . the younger the better we do not really want another meeting about how Albert won the war

Is there space to tie up the whippets and pegs for the flat caps ?

At 44 I was never going to be the youngest but I'll not smell of biscuits or mention the war

Anyone welcome. You might be asked for a contribution to any buffet and room costs (less £5) but that's about it 8)
I'm in south manchester so anyone locally who's thinking of going it might be worth getting a lift
PM if interested.

I'm south manchester too, but was intending on going by train as I am thinking that on the return journey, there are some excellent "station pubs" on the Manchester to Huddersfield line.
