Cambridge Beer Meet 4th Decemeber @ Kingston Arms

Post by Tequilla6 » Sat Nov 21, 2009 11:05 am

Hi,

It's is once again time for the brewers of Cambridge to meet up and compare samples, enjoy a good beer and friendly banter. We meet on Friday the 4th December at 20:00 and can be identified with the sandals, beards and furtive looks as we pass our sample beers around for others to try. Other signs it's us for the casual observer will be the pile of Pork scratching crumbs littering the table, the sniffing and passing around of a number of pint glasses and plastic bottles and the absence of any mainstream Lager products within the vicinity.

If anyone would like to join this motley crew then you are welcome whether you are currently brewing or not. Be warned though once infected with our passion for beer we will hold no responsibility for the gradual appearance of Beer kits, FV's mashtuns and cornies at you place of residence. You have been warned.

See you there guys and girls.

Oh no! Save me from the beer kits.

I'll bring some friendly ginger beer. I'm supposed to have hidden it in a cornie for Christmas, but you know how it goes...

p.s. It's a shame topic names can't be edited, innit...

I'll be there, minus a beard this time tho

I'll bring a bottle of Old Peculiar (recipe from GW's book) and if I can get some gas this week I'll corny my take on White Shield and bottle one to see how it's coming along, will be a tad green still I'm assuming...

See you all there,
Jamie

You're right there, the two new FVs that turned up last week didn't seem to elicit the over-joyed reaction from my girlfriend that I was hoping for.

Hi all,

Sorry I couldn't make it on Friday. Hope everyone had a good time.

Let me know if there will be another before Xmas.

Everyone had a great (if a bit chilly in the fag garden) time, I think. I wish Jubby hadn't described us as a bunch of beardies though - closet Jim readers only speak up when me or audley turn up!

Jubby, I'll stick the ginger recipe in the proper section - I can just about remember that part of the evening!
Cheers all,
ML.
