200L Brewery (The new, NEW plan)
Re: 200L Brewery
Haz, Subsonic's advice is good. Before you go any further you must sort out the planning permission and business use (and home insurance) stuff and also become familiar with revenue and customs requirements. It's a drag, but as soon as you sell a single drop of ale you become a brewer and a business and are subject to all sorts of rules, regulations and paperwork.

go ahead with buying the equipment, i was just looking for any advice on the stuff i`d picked out, i`ve now decided
that it will be best to go all stainless, the extra cost isn`t actually that much more plus i`ll know it was made for the job.
I also went to visit a similar setup up at Settle at the weekend (Three Peaks Brewery) and he gave me alot of advice regarding
the customs and red tape side of it,a very nice chap indeed.

Re: 200L Brewery
So the 270's would be Copper, HLT & FV?? and the 113 would be the Mash tun? They'd need a bit of hacking about with a side opening on the copper, they would have lots of head room for the boil on a 200L though
Whats the prices like?

Whats the prices like?
Re: 200L Brewery
I`ve emailed them for prices and just waiting to hear back, probably Monday
now i guess.
Funny thing is my auntie just lives down the road from this place so i could get my uncle
to pick them up and then go collect them on my pre xmas visit.

I have access to cutting equipment so modifying them will be no problem
Re: 200L Brewery
I would be very interested to hear their response matey. They are only a stones throw from my work. I've been thinking about uping my capacity and their 113L tanks look good.

That's a sound idea. When purchasing the children try to get skinny ones. They will eat less and you will also be able to get them sweeping chimneys on days when the brewery is dormant.haz66 wrote:

Better make sure they have a good wash before putting them in the barrel then.boingy wrote:That's a sound idea. When purchasing the children try to get skinny ones. They will eat less and you will also be able to get them sweeping chimneys on days when the brewery is dormant.haz66 wrote:

I`ll be cutting all the tops off so they are open, then just clean out with like pdtnc says, a power washer.garwatts wrote:How do you get to the bottom of those for cleaning?
