Re: Scottish Craft Brewers - January Meeting
On top of the 80 bob competition we are also going to be doing some sensory training with the FlavoActiV "The Enthusiast" kit. We ran this last year and it was both fun and educational so it is a good chance to try something new.

From the Website:
The EnthusiastTM Beer Taste Troubleshooting kit is the result of our partnership with the US Institute for Brewing Studies and the American Homebrewer's Association. Early in 2000 we embarked together on a project that would result in a training product that would help small-scale brewers, whether brewing commercially or in the home, to identify common problem situations through tasting. After two years of effort we came up with the world's first 'situational flavour standards' - flavour standards that represent not one problem flavour, but a mix of flavours which together represent a typical problem.
The EnthusiastTM Beer Taste Troubleshooting kit is now the cornerstone of the American Homebrewer's Association education program.

Re: Scottish Craft Brewers - January Meeting
Unfortunately we have had to cancel this meeting. The number of members who indicated that they were going to attend meant that the meeting was not viable (taking costs for hall and catering into account).
Midweek meetings will continue with the next one in February.
Our AGM is pencilled in for April and we hope to hold it somewhere in central Glasgow. I will post details nearer the time.

Re: Scottish Craft Brewers - January Meeting
Should be able to attend the AGM, hopefully. Getting through to Edinburgh midweek isn't ideal. Maybe I should found the 'Glasgow Craft Brewers' chapter of SCB
