normal cider help this time....

again just checking im on the right lines. started this last tues, SG is now down to 1032....what SG should I be looking for or does it only have to be the same for 2 days?

Depending on the varieties and what else you've added, you should get down to an FG like a wine, so you'll normally end up around 1.000 or even 0.950, at least in that ballpark, they tend to finish very dry unless you've employed some tech tricks like Keeving or the like.

Personally if I want a good cider, from juices, I reckon with about three months in the fermenter, not to get the FG right, but to ensure the tartness mellows out. I've even done it this long without racking.

Could well be until Spring! Mine last year was still going in February. Be patient.

eeek!! patience doesnt come easily to me!! i'll keep checking and hoping....i spose in theory if it goes that long it should taste pretty good!

Even supermarket "turbos" I tend to do this long, do some beer in the meantime, it's a lot faster.

hehe dont like beer. saying that ive got some white wine on the go as well as as a kit cider...

keep so2 levels up and maintain very low ullage if you don't want to make cider vinegar like I did.....
