St Peters Golden Ale Kit

Post by jmc » Wed Apr 13, 2011 12:58 pm

Hi

I notice that there's a new St Peter's Golden Ale Kit available.
eg From Brew UK
& From Home Brew Online etc
I'm sure there are other suppliers too.

36Pt, 3Kg, 4.7% kit.

The St Peter's Ruby I did last year was quite good, so hopefully they've cracked the Golden Ale too.

i was gunna order the ruby the other day but i opted for a wheat instead, spurred on by the nice weather mind you *looks outside at the gather clouds*
yeah...nice weather.

Cheers for the heads up. I tried this in the Jerusalem Tavern recently and liked it more than the Ruby which is also pretty good.
Will add to my wanted list.

Great news. I'm a big fan of St. Peters and their Ruby Red is probably my favourite kit to date. Must order.

Hi Goat

I made it last autumn so none left I'm afraid.

It was very drinkable, but not the same body as the real stuff.
Not as 'red' either.

It all dissapeared quickly enough though :)

I did the Ruby Red last autumn and it was excellent, I've the IPA conditioning right now (but I goofed on the brewlength, take heed!) My only advice is that these kits need at least an month to condition (after a fortnight in the FV, my usual practice). The really benefit from a bit of time and then the hop bitterness and aromas really mellow out nicely.
