I have started a new thread for this so we can keep all the important details at the top.

Please check I have the correct details for you, and the correct number of kegs.

I would suggest either deliver from polymoog to the central belt and folks can pick up from there or to my house in Dundee and others can pick up. I can relay kegs to aberdeen if wanted.

I could take pallets in Aberdeen if needed and folks want to pick up from there.
That's very kind of you Highlander and in return i can say that all those North of Aberdeen can pick up their kegs from my house which is in Inverurie and 2 minutes from the A96.

Highlander i'm offshore at the mo and will be untill pretty much end of Feb but i've got a mate with a van who would be more than happy to come and meet you in Aberdeen for the pallet(s) and then he'd take them to my garage. The details of who and when to pick up after that are easily sorted as we have the mobiles.

Im excited with the interest in this!

Just like to mention... if we need to make up numbers, I'm more than happy to increase my order!

I need to sort out how to pick them up, but I've read a few people are from down this way, so im sure we can all work something out!

I'm pretty sure I could borrow a trailer and transport some from Snail in Lincs (I believe) to Norwich.

Maybe there should be a distribution thread?
Depending on the size and amount you can carry back, Id be happy to put towards them being taken to norwich to be picked up, thats not too far from Ipswich here. I also saw a couple of people from Essex and Woodbridge which shouldnt be too far?

Home Brewers know a good thing when they see it, and they have a voracious appetite. :)

Sounds great idea, might find that we can do it as a delivery chain from Polymoog to Glasgow then further up :D

chaps as i have time on my hands

i have just setup a googledocs spreadsheet with a map inserted
you have the following columns to enable the group to work out where the kegs need to go who is able to store short term

and maybe even get a few pallets dropped by courier firms to collection points

what i need if it is any use is people to share the population with me
RS? pm me an email address and ill add the share so you can help edit

then people need to provide the following information

Members name/Post Code/Amount Wanted/

ive put in some names and qtys already

hope it helps

Pantsmachine, thats one hell of a hitch!!

I live in Dundee but work is Aberdeen or abroad. They will take deliveries of pallets at the office so can store there.
Incedently we do a brewfest every year(each feb), upwards of 20 kegs. We welcome "outsiders" PM me if your interested.

A while ago I worked for Nestle Rowntree. I long remarked that they would have a meeting to discuss the next meeting. Nothing would get done. Exactly they could not have arranged a piss up in a brewery....just goes to show how with communication how easy it is to arrange things,,,, imagine
the d day landings and they never even had computers

This trip is 11th Nov to 29th Jan taking in such fine Holiday locations as Saudi Arabia & Nigeria  then off to my place in Turkey to get it ready for the season(See lower link in my sig, discounts for JBK members)! I've got a couple of offshore mates who may well be interested in that beerfestival(including myself). I've been meaning to come to Dundee for a pint for a while so sounds like a plan. Let me know the dates of it and i'll try to be there

I think there should be a £0.50 surcharge per Corny to cover the expenses of the organisers of this purchase. There are going to be fuel and telephone costs and their time of course. I think that would be the most effective way for the many to thank the few in this particular instance. Anything left over could go to a charity of the groups buys choice and everyone still wins? Any thoughts on that?
