my mother has fairly advanced dementia, so I pop up to see my father to provide much needed moral support' and as my sister lives in Abu dhabi I'm the local child. Though this time my sis is over to visit as well. Just need to decide if I'm going to fit another trip in before Christmas, or do it while I'm off work over the holiday.
Ahh then Im sure we can get a number down between us!

Also, as for the guys updating the spreadsheet and lists and such, I have plenty of time on my hands, especially at work at the moment, so I could help keep it updated when people start updating amounts/postcodes and such.

Also I drop Jon Luc a PM about thew eights, as I Pm'ed him previously about some things.

Suffices to say presently for a pricing for shipping the address is 49740 Haselünne

Hi,

Many thanks for the info, would you have a weight for a full pallet of kegs ?

Lee

Mail the thread starter of the original thread, John Luc, he should know or at least be able to find it out.

Eoin

I have asked him if he knows the weight.

If you allow 4kg per cornie and 25kg for the pallet you'll not be far out, assuming there is not much other packing material.

Oh, and be sure to check the unloading requirements. They may expect you to have a forktruck available.

I've been away this weekend and only just noticed this thread! If i could be put on the reserve list for 2 kegs I'd be grateful. I've also got a clear garage that I'd be happy to use as a collection hub near Huntingdon.

Cheers,
Jamie

Ok so the reply I received was.

1 pallet with 40 kegs is ~175kg netto and ~200kg brutto.

Cheers,
J.

Good call on the unloading Req's. I had 6 pallets of Indian Kandala slabs delivered a couple of years ago through Shiply. The driver had a hydraulic hand operated pallet truck onboard along with a hydraulic raise/lower tail-lift.

Between us we managed to get them off the truck and placed on the drive so the same spec would work for pallets of cornies.

Bugger, just thought of something, were the Irish lot of cornies brought into the North or South? Import duties may apply bringing from Europe to Mainland Britain which would not apply if the Irish ones were brought into Eire.

I already have that question outstanding with HMRC about what we have to do about Import Duty.

Given that they are second hand I suspect that there will be no duty or tax to pay. But also Germany is (for the time being  ) still in the EU, so as pointed out above any tax due will be paid in teh country of origin.

I am heading home from the office in a few minutes, the wife is not feeling well at home so I'm taking a day and a half off, I have flat rate on the phone at home so I'll be calling the lady in about an hour or two and should have an update on the lid story, I'll also tell her that there is another order coming that is to some extent dependent on this one being handled correctly.
