How do you work out how much yeast you`ll need for each brew.Only ever done kits and this comes with the yeast included,so never had to think about this.Thanks In Advance

One (12g) sachet or one "split" from a yeast vial (usually six splits from a liquid yeast vial) per 23 litres is a reasonable amount.

I just go with 1 dry pack for 23 litres if below 1050.

For liquid yeast you really should pitch a bit more. For an ale less than about 1060, you need about 6 million cells per ml, which equates to about a 1-1.5l starter, which us a lot more than a standard six way split.

Sorry, my mistake. Yes "splits" from a liquid yeast should always be grown on to a starter as GC says (meant to put that in)
