For liquid yeast you really should pitch a bit more. For an ale less than about 1060, you need about 6 million cells per ml, which equates to about a 1-1.5l starter, which us a lot more than a standard six way split.Scroogemonster wrote:One (12g) sachet or one "split" from a yeast vial (usually six splits from a liquid yeast vial) per 23 litres is a reasonable amount.
