Leaving my AG in Primary FV
Am i right in thinking that it is OK to leave my AG brew in the primary FV beyond 14 days? It will be 14 days in the FV on Tuesday (8 May). It's been left alone up until now, but I have to go away for a few days come Wednesday until the Sunday - when I can rack and bottle. It's under airlock etc since the yeast was pitched. I can't imagine it causing any problems - just like a bit of reassurance as it is AG#1.

I always leave mine 14 days but lots of people leave theirs 21 days and more. Just make sure that your air lock is topped up before you go

It'll be fine, I would only start to worry if it was sitting on the primary yeast for a month or more.

The only reason I take my beer out of primary and into another vessel is if I need to perform some sort of operation on it such as fining and clearing - or of course long term lagering if I'm doing my very occasional lager. However for beers where I'm not too concerned about brilliant clarity, such as stouts and indeed many UK style bitters I just give it a good 10 days in primary in a fermenting fridge, crank down the temperature to near freezing for a few days to encourage clarification and to drop the last of the shyte out, then keg or bottle.
