Ive just got a Coopers APA to set away, dont know wether to brew it with 1 jar H&B malt and 500g sugar or 2 jars H&B and 300g sugar. Anyone recomend which to go with?

Depends on what you're looking for - the double malt load will add a lot more body to the brew and give a sweeter finish due to higher levels of unfermentables, but if you're looking for a lighter summer brew then its probably better to use more sugar.

My latest Stout brew was pretty much all malt...and you can tell simply by the viscosity of the liquor how chewably thick the stout is going to be :) cant wait :D

Stupid newbie question but if you put your brew into a keg, how is it possible to serve it cold?

Leave it somewhere cold outside (shed or garage is ideal) or if you're serious (and have some spare cash) a dedicated larder fridge is even better :)

Remember that ales should relly be served @ cellar temp (~ 8-10 degrees)

As he says keep somewhere cool.then run a couple of pint glasses under the cold tap before sticking in freezer for an hour.this chills and frosts the glass.Makes your pint even cooler.

Thats what I am talking about, you like me are impatient and can not resist the temptation,

My plan (and it is ongoing) is two continue to brew up kits - condition and then enjoy and keep the stock rolling.

Just wondered what other kits to try and or try again if they turn out brilliant after a few months?...like the fixby gold which is now brilliant so will do again..defo 8)
