Hello, I was following this recipe http://m.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/ga ... pe=article
The problem is I never got round to bottling and my "wine" us still in demijon after maybe 5 months! Will it be "dead" now or can I sto go ahead, add more sugar and bottle for secondary fermentation in the bottle as per the recipe in the above link? How do I know if it's still viable? Thanks
elderflower champs have I left it too late!

It should be fine to prime and bottle.
If in doubt add a tiny pinch of yeast to each bottle. (bread yeast will suffice)

Even if it does not carbonate it still makes a most agreeable wine.
And from the title of the thread I thought you were asking if September was too late to pick elderflowers....
