Festival Homebrew
Festival Homebrew
Hello as any one tried the new Festival Homebrew? in particular Landlord and Gold stag..what were your findings please.
Re: Festival Homebrew
Hi
I have a Golden Stag in the fv as we speak. It's been five days so far and I have just introduced the hops. All I can say at this point is... it smells lovely. When this is out of the fv, I have a Father Hooks to get on straight away.

Re: Festival Homebrew
I have tried the Golden Stag and it is one of the best kits i have ever made. If you like hoppy beers this is the one to get. It has a wonderful floral/citrusy aroma & taste. I can't wait to try the rest of the range, if they are anything like the Stag i think Ritchies will be onto a real winner with these kits.
Re: Festival Homebrew
pilgrims hope very nice very bitter
old sufolk ale very sweet very strong
both fantastic kits

soon be dead thank beer for that no pain where im going

Re: Festival Homebrew
I've got a golden stag in the FV at the mo been in 10 days and is down to 1014 from 1042 so its quite a slow ferment, supposed to get down to 1008 so I'm gonna leave it for a few days yet. The smell from FV is amazingcand taste from sample is equally good and can't wait to try it when finished. Reminds me of Badger Happy Hare

Re: Festival Homebrew
I have brewed the Landlord kit twice, with fantastic results each time. I have been brewing kits and all grain for 15 years now and i rate the Landlord kit as the best kit i have brewed by a mile, it even stands up to some of my full mash beers. Highly recommended!!
Re: Festival Homebrew
Well jollybrewer that is nice to hear that you recommend the Landlord from someone like you who have brewed the full spectrum.....very interesting!!!
Re: Festival Homebrew
I have just purchased a couple of kits from Festival Golden Stag and Landlord. A question for Jollybrewer....did you make up the kit Landlord as per instructions?
