Kit suppliers
Kit suppliers
Hello, as I'm new to the game I'm not to sure who are the reliable and fair priced online traders for brew kits. Locally I have Wilkinsons and Tesco who are pretty much in the same price range for ale kits etc and a stall on the city market which has been going since the beging of time but for the same Tom Caxton kit as sold in Wilkinsons is and extra £4, so as much as I'd like to buy from him for the support local independent traders effort it's just not cost effective. So who do you recommend for best variety and price online?
Cheers Chris

They are currently doing 1.5kg liquid light malt extract for £5.95 in case anyone is interested!

If the s1 in your username refers to S1 postcode, try the BrewMart out on Abbey Lane. Their prices are fairly average, and you'll save on postage. See http://www.thebrewmart.com/
If the s1 refers to something totally different, feel free to ignore me
Oh, and in terms of a reccommendation, have an obligatory Cooper's Stout!

Hehehe, fair enough, worth a try! I stand by my Cooper's Stout recommendation though, especially brewed in the Ditch style.

Yeah I think the ditch style stout is a good shout. If not just for taste the nice easy method is a winner.
Monkeybrew - sounds good to me, did you use standard brewing sugar when you made yours?
