2L Growler

Post by quixoticgeek » Wed Dec 19, 2012 1:59 am

I picked up a 2L Growler full of the local tipple while out in Austria, and have found the bottle a really handy. I would really like to get a couple more, does anyone know of any stockists in .uk?

Thanks

Brewdog do em, but the ceramic ones are about a million quid (£75) and the little 2.5 plastic ones are £6 which isn't too bad.
apart from that, haven't seen any which don't need importing, even on fleabay.

I though a growler was something else completely.

I'd love some growlers, but only seen them in the US. Even smaller ones than a 2L would suit me!

Looks like as of yesterday this place has them http://webrew.co.uk/main/webrew-growler ... -the-shop/

Unfortunately I don't see them listed online. Would absolutely love some so excited to see someone in the UK getting in on it.

All the ones i've seen in the Uk have been imported from Germany. I know Lovibonds in Henley sell their beer in them, that's where I got my four from.

Anyone have any luck going for these? I'm planning to try and order a couple in soon. However I think the postage from those sites was quite high.

Theakston sell stone-look plastic ones on their website; "4-Pint Carry Kegs" £4.95
No idea about postage.
