That flumuxed me to start with, had put them together dry and couldn't get them apart!! was cursing it.... had to stick a screwdriver in the end to pop each lug. once it was apart I noticed the release thingy #-o

ThIs sounds like an exciting challenge.

Just ordered my outlets for my elements. Cheers for the heads up on audio spares. Used a 10% discount code I found online. Plus delivery was only £3 something.

I'm not sure if I'm now part of the club or if forum propaganda has convinced me to buy them.

The Mad Hippy is the one who is responsible for the powercon1`s, mind you I think he`s got shares in the company :^o

I`ve ended up with 10 sets in the build  nice quality fitting tho.

Also thought http://cpc.farnell.com/jsp/search/brows ... tid=102581 were cheaper?

Yeah I searched True1 about two months ago and 90% of the posts were made by TMH. Perhaps he's the UK rep.

Mine came out at £42 delivered for four sets so less than the cost commando plugs and sockets.

Only for power IN i hope, the chassis mounted connector is classed as a male, and the cable connector is classed as female

Haha, I went though that for the 2nd time, I'd already ordered the twin connectors thinking they would be seperate.. wasn't happy when I couldn;t get them together... Delighted once in stopped being stupid.

yep socket on boiler and plug on cable from control box had to use commando plug on wall and power in ,although I always connect it all together before switching on the breaker as the 32a plug is not hot plugable

Connectors arrived yesterday. I am very impressed. I'm glad I shelled out on them now.

I did the same. Put it together dry then reamed it to get it open. The spring came out. I thought I'd broken it. All sorted now.

Why do they have two different cable strains? (black and white) Different sized cables???

resurrecting this old thread...

Does anyone know what size hole is needed for the panel mount "powerCON TRUE1" connectors?

I can't find the answer anywhere, I did see the technical drawings on the official site but they just confused me more. Trying to price up a simple control panel build and seeing if I need to add a second q.max cutter to the list, I bet it wont be the same size as the one needed for 22mm switches..
