Hello,
My normal base malt is Maris Otter, but have seen Simpsons Golden Promise malt for sale cheaper than M/o. has anyone a opinion on this malt in comparasion with M/Otter for milds and Bitters. I shall be using EKG and fuggles in the brews. My latest beers were extra malty using calcium chloride 2 to 1 with gypsum.Very nice indeed.
Any advice welcome

i bought a sack of simpson's uncrushed gp a couple of years ago. it was on offer at the hbs. brewed some fine pale ale. stout and porter with it. i'd certainly use it again.
