Sour Taste to beer

Hi Chaps,

Just barreled an all-grain Hopback summer lightening clone I brewed around 3 weeks ago, had a little slurp and it tastes a fruity sour flavour! It reminds me of Sour Skittles!

This isn't good! Is the beer likely to be ruined, or is it possible it will turn around? I suspect it's ruined, as a) it tastes sour (duh) b)I used a yeast starter made from the trub kindly given to me from the end of the local pub's cask of Hopback Crop Circle, so can't be sure on the bucket they gave it to me in (I did create a large starter and checked for sour wort and funny smells- it seemed okay!) and c) rather strangely, the FG was low- near 1.008, which in my limited experience points me to the possible presence of wild yeast?

In fact, even just typing that and thinking about it- I feel I have answered my own question! I think next time I won't be tight arse, and buy a bottle of Summer Lightening from Morrisons to create a starter.

It might be even quite enjoyable if mixed with some sweet syrup, like cherry or strawberry.

If its not vinegary and undrinkable then you should leave it a couple months and try it again as you never no :) better than tipping it!
Cheers and gone,
