I get a big pineapple hit from this hop. If you handed it to me without prior knowledge I would probably guess Citra.

Real time tasting going on here, the beer is a bit warm so getting a caramel nose from the malt. Keeping at it and now getting a marmalade hint.
In tasting I'm getting plenty of citrus, but have to disagree on the Citra comparison, its not as powerful. There are grapefruit and tangerine notes coming through with a dash of vanilla.
At the end the bitterness just goes on and on, but it's not in the least bit harsh, you just know you have drunk it. Could easily have a large curry with this one!
Not really a session beer at 5.6% but it's damn good all the same.
Even if I do say so myself, its a very good example of a true APA. Oh and I really like this hop. :)

Can't be arsed to keep changing this bit, so, drinking some beer and wanting to brew many more!

Sir, you are drunk! Yes madam, and you are ugly, but in the morning I shall be sober! - WSC

Have you been tempted to try a bottle of this yet?

I'm gagging to get an order in for some but I need to wait till I'm getting another sack of malt. They sound right up my street =P~

I was that home brewer in Kent mentioned in the article. Made some cracking beers with that hop (still have 200g in the freezer, but don't tell anyone)

Maltmiller has about 90 packs in stock so that should keep people going for a little while at least...

I hope that'll last at least two months so that when I'm ready to order he'll still have some? [-o<

Cheers Tom

I highly recommend you crumble it in search for seeds, as I did with UK Flyer. You can fast-track your own hops breeding program with any resulting seedlings. Standing on the shoulders of giants...

Don't worry, the crumbled bits will still be worthwhile for brewing. I expected the alpha-acid bitterness potential to be deteriorated, but my brew still came out plenty bitter, actually. I suppose what I'm talking about is less violent than pellet production or the latest "blitzing" trend...
