Hello mate, thanks very much:)

I got all of my Selector Switches from a company called ECProducts:-

I found them to be a very good company to deal with.

Thanks Jay - these guys look great for panel gear and the prices are good. Do you know the panel hole cut out sizes for those switches as they are not specified in the PDF ? Hoping they are 22mm, but look like they could be 30mm ?

Cheers again

Hello mate, yes they are hard to beat:). The mounting hole needed is indeed 22mm:)

Today's progress, not a massive step forward but one of those jobs that end up taking a lot longer then first expected:(

All of the equipment sockets have been installed onto the control panel bottom plate:)

Image

Pilot holes were first drilled and then I used my 22mm hole cutter and stepped drill bit to make the holes as large as I could, then it was a simple case of tediously enlarging the holes to the required size with a Dremel.... It took hours.

All that's left to do is add the securing screws but that is a job for tomorrow:)

Hi all, I have had abit of time to do more work on the control panel :D

The Heat Sink has now been sealed and put into place:

Work has also started on the wiring which by the looks of it is going to take a rather long time!!

The wire colours that I am using is as follows:-

Black = Live
Red = Neutral
Yellow/Green = Earth

Most of the components have been fitted to the back board and I am in the process of planning cable routes so it looks a bit messy and untidy at the moment

The Earth and Power cables have been all installed:-

Hello mate.... Good point! I was following the wiring colours on the Electric Brewery Website where the colours used were black for live and blue for neutral, did not have blue in the correct gauge but plenty of red!!

seems strange that they've used blue for neutral ,i'd have expected there neutral to be white.
