Shouldn't this have been posted yesterday?

Re: The Beer Bug!
I think it would be the most elaborate April fools day ever if it is.

$250 + shipping http://www.thebeerbug.com/products/I don't see a price on there.
Warning: The Dutch Coffeeshops products may contain drugs. Drinks containing caffeine should be used with care and moderation

I'd rather have a really nice new mash run. Or anything.themadhippy wrote:$250 + shipping http://www.thebeerbug.com/products/I don't see a price on there.
It seems to be aimed more at the gadget market than the true home brewer. How many on here would pay that for one of those!?
Re: The Beer Bug!
It's 200 pounds to the UK with the temp probe and shipping.
I think its great but yes it's a gimmick and expensive.

It is designed and manufactured by a guy from close to where I live in Richmond, Va.. Our local homebrew shop is testing one out at the moment and if you like I could get a short review from him. It's gimmicky admittedly but people spend ridiculous money on golf clubs etc. Why not? Some people like the appearance of accuracy and gadgets.

Re: The Beer Bug!
It's expensive and I can see that people that just want to chuck everything in and see what happens wouldn't be interested.
If however you are interested in the science and understanding how and why things are changing over time and getting repeatable brews then I think it's quite cool. My only concern is how accurate it will be when it's covered in krausen and trub.
