I strongly suggest any of you avoid buying this



I wasted my time and money arsing around with something that almost certainly hasn't been tested by the manufacturer before being sold. The supplied screw doesn't fit the back thread on the STC-1000 and theres no where near enough space to fit the wiring in behind the unit. The back cover also snapped as soon as I threaded a wire through it but thats probably partially my fault.

If anyone has a link to a suitable junction box or similar, I'm all ears. It has to be all proper for a commercial brewing environment. No more insulating tape and gaffer for me anymore

If you have a local Maplins visit them they have loads of boxes, I bought one a while back but cant remember the code for it.

for bargain robust cases check out ebay auctions for boxed components like

with a screwdriver all can be removed leaving a very usable box.. the spindle hole can be masked with a sticker/label or reused

You can get a new enclosure from the electrical wholesalers for 5-6 pounds.

In fairness though they just refunded me in full, including the shipping cost and without asking for a return.
