I'm moving abroad and also, I have IBS and so, I no longer can drink the beer I brew.
So, I'm hoping to sell my brewery, but I'm not sure how much to ask for. This is what I have:
* professional quality (as in, not thin) stainless 50 l stock pot with lid
* burner, needs new regulator and hose
* 27 l stainless burco
* 5 UK gallon stainless tea urn that keep temps really well and has a simply but very effective filter and a tap. I made lots of 6-7% rye beers in that one, as mashtuns go, this is a good one.
* sparge arm that sits nicely on the urn, connects to burco tap with silicone hose (need fresh one)
* valley mill
* about 1000 crowncorks
* ~ 100+ 1/2l beer bottles (not sure, let's just say 'lots')
* capper
* 30 never used wine bottles & corks
* 3/4 full 15kg propane bottle
* at least 3 corni kegs (might be more, I have to do some looking, they need refurb but I have o-rings for them)
* counter pressure filler (never used)
* about 10 slightly out of date beer kits (will be fine to use I think)
* a few packs of brewing sugar
* ~2l of chemical for removing beerstein from kegs
* about 20 liters of antiformin S
* copper chiller with garden hose clips attached
* 10 1 gallon demi-johns
All of it is in good condition, albeit a little dusty.
Trouble is, I don't know how much to ask for. Could people please give me an idea of a fair price to ask for all of this? And, how would you ship this, or would you just say that buyer collects?
Thanks for any advice!

for what its worth i would start by doing a rough estimate on how much it would cost to put together by a canny buyer. then knock off a percentage based on condition for a staring figure.. bottles and sugars/kits etc just throw in to sweeten the deal
However another very productive pastime/hobby that uses a lot of similar kit is biodiesel production

If it's the gluten content that prevents you from drinking, have you considered using ClarityFerm in your brews? It apparently reduces gluten content to under 20ppm, which is the internationally accepted threshold for 'gluten free'.Magpie wrote:I'm moving abroad and also, I have IBS and so, I no longer can drink the beer I brew.
