q-max Question

Post by DeadFall » Sun May 25, 2014 12:02 pm

Is the size of the pilot hole for q-max cutters important? I have an existing hole I need to enlargen for 1/2 inch fittings and it's larger than the 10mm hole needed for the bolt in the description of the 21mm cutter.

U can centre a qmax thru a larger hole, just lubricate the qmax thread and tighten it by hand in the position u want to cut before you start exerting the cutting force with the allen key..

Dont forget the large allen key needed for the job!!

No problem, just make sure the cutter has something to bite on all around the cut.

I'm assuming it's more of a punching action than a cutting action and the cutting head itself doesn't rotate then?
