Soft drinks Reg ok to use?

Post by The Dribbler » Sat May 31, 2014 12:20 pm

Folks

I've inherited a drinks reg

Image

Discoverd its sold as a soft drinks reg.
The regs were set damn high 60 psi and 40 psi when I got it but it seems to adjust down low ok.

Are these perfectly ok to go with corny kegs / beer kegs?
They do have a safety valve fitted, but don't know the blow out pressure.

Cheers

These are quite safe, not sure of the pressure for the safety valve, but I doubt you'll go high enough to have a problem. Quite a few people use them, I've sold at least 6 in the last few months!

Cheers Gents,

Your right..there is no shut off valves and I only have use for 2 outputs at the moment.

Where can I get shut off valves?

On mine I just turn the pressure right down and that shuts that valve off. If it is like mine (and it looks like it) then they are in order, so your highest pressure has to be on the far left one (red) which has its gauge at the far end. The following ones have to be the same or lower then the previous valve pressure, if you get what I mean,

I've used these in-line on gas and beer lines:
