How long are your kegs left with star san in leeH? It is safe to leave for long periods without damage to the kegs?

My own preference is simply clean and completely dry; nothing nasty will normally grow in them if they aren't damp/wet. Or if storing for periods of time before cleaning, don't release the CO2, as that too helps prevent nasties.

Assuming they're stainless I personally steered clear of leaving acid sanitisers in them because I heard that over time it can attack the metal, particularly around the liquid/air boundary, but maybe thats not so if its instead pressurised with CO2 like Lee, not sure.

Cheers

:) - store the keg sealed under pressure, if concerned about length of storage with an acid sanitiser inside just flush it out with clean water, and leave sealed and under pressure they will remain clean. or use a non acid non persistent sanitiser like videne..

storing dry and open u dont know what will crawl in there ;)
ist update for months n months..
Fermnting: not a lot..
Conditioning: nowt
Maturing: Challenger smash, and a kit lager
Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store
Coming Soon Lots planned for the near future nowt for the immediate :(
