Be aware that many of the simpler/cheaper ones cannot seal mylar (silver) foil bags easily. Some people manage by inserting a straw into the bag or a grooved bit of plastic to help sealing. I got a snorkel vac which has a retractable nozzle- cost me about £100 imported from the states.

Just in case you fancy splashing some cash it's Ebay item number 321449564817. £100 with import duties and does the job v nicely....
The difference is a hell of a lot of hops though when you can get one for £30! lol!
Wonder whether using non mylar with oxygen absorbers is an alternative though...

The 40quid one on amazon can allegedly do mylar .. Don't have one (yet) though.

I've got the FOOD SAVER V1040, I got it from Freemans @£39 with free delivery.
Don't know about mylar bags but the roll that comes with it is good quality. (7ply got some refills off ebay the same, comes from Korea but delivery was about a week)
Only problems I have had are with large quantities of hops (>=300g) where it doesn't suck as well as it does with smaller quantities.

Don't know where you get the mylar bags from (not searched though)
