box size stc 1000
Need to make another temp controller.
Have an stc 100 but need a plastic box big enough to fit 2 single sockets on top.
Can someone send me a link to something suitable.
Do i need to add a box underneath for the sockets to fix to or is there another way?

I used this one...
ABS BLACK PLASTIC ELECTRONICS PROJECT BOX ENCLOSURE 220 X 150 X 64MM https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00IFEX9U6/ ... 6ub1X9PS95
Probably not the cheapest but it looks smart and there's plenty of room for two sockets on top. I was originally going to set mine up like you intend but decided to have two cables coming out of the back with the female sockets. The tube heater cable is quite short so this option worked for me.
Cheers, lee

I just use small boxes and have trailing sockets which also act as extension cables.

Re: box size stc 1000

Maplins t+c's say uk only, also found http://www.amazon.co.uk/Desktop-Instrum ... roject+box maplins and that place both have a webstore so may be worth a try.
the second one gives you sizes to work with.
just had a shufty at royal mail they would want 15 quid postage uk to norway, best find a supplier there less your loaded LOL

About 8 cm across.mr_so wrote:Are Norwegian sockets the same size as UK sockets?
found this on ebayhttp://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/361056758054?_mwBanner=1
Tok the one that was 200x120 so should be ok. Imagine a normal hole saw will be enough for the plastic.
Re: box size stc 1000
Slightly smaller than a UK one then, an 'MB7' (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271364359938) project box is just big enough for 2 UK sockets to fit in the lid and squeeze an arduino and relay board into (not the Pi though.).. so yes the 200x should be good IMHO.
EDIT: Sorry, just remembered you're doing an STC1000 not a brewpi thing here, but still the 200x size one should be good for your needs
