Hi all
I have messed around with my brew fridges etc, and now want to extend the probe on a stc 1000, so that it doesn't trail across the floor. is it ok to do this, will it make a difference to temp readings ?

no palate, no patience.

If it does you can program an offset to cancel it out.

test the probe at close to 0C and close to 100C with iced and boiling water.
google the eti thermapen manual pdf document and check pages 16 and 17 for the details if needed

if its readin x degrees out at both points then thats the error to put into the stc to compensate.
ist update for months n months..
Fermnting: not a lot..
Conditioning: nowt
Maturing: Challenger smash, and a kit lager
Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store
Coming Soon Lots planned for the near future nowt for the immediate

Yes it would be, as for how much, if you pay for the postage you can have it. I will try and dig it out and post off to you, I will let you know the cost of that once it's gone.

Some (maybe most) will include an offset, but I have one labeled as an STC1000 that has NO programming apart from temp set. My others have F1/4 programs to change things like compressor delay etc.
I only use it for my HLT I know the offset so just add it to the set temp.
