Re: Grainfather
Most of the reviews I've seen are favourable - although there have been a few teething problems from what I've read.
Very nice retirement present tho

Well, if they aren't going to stretch to a BM... but, yeah, go for it

Re: Grainfather
Many thanks for all information I think there is food for though, But it looks a good product I feel it would fit into my brew shed perfect

Re: Grainfather
You could go for one of these. Solid stainless steel brew kettle, mash pipe and fittings, nice open-ardbir controller for semi-automated brewing. Single vessel, small footprint.

Works fine, like a Braumeister but 1/3rd of the price. Small manufacturer, they'll make one to order.

Re: Grainfather
Looks like a blatant ripoff of a Braumeister. I wonder if any patents are being infringed?
Re: Grainfather
Patents aren't really our problem. (Unless you work for one of these companies) but as a hobbyist brewer, the all in one mash/boiler is an excellent choice for a small set up. Those boys have lawyers. They'll work it out.

That's $1999 though isn't it ? And that's a "sale price". Plus shipping to UK (if they do have a UK model).
Dan!

I'm not saying it's cheap, but you have to admire the technology.
I have no idea of the costs, I just came across it on a Brewing Network podcast.
