Bottling bucket, or not?

I've always just batch primed in the Primary Fermentor, and bottled from there. However in my recent research into biab, I've read lots of opinions on how 'you should never do that'.
What's your opinion on needing a bottling bucket?

Just to be clear, my method is:
-dissolve priming sugar in boiled water, in the microwave.
-pour solution into Fermentor, stir gently so as to avoid disturbing turb.
-leave for 20/30 minutes.
-bottle.

Unsure - never not used a bottling bucket. I biab and dry hop 70/80g in the primary, and there's a dump load of yeast/trub/hop matter left in the primary that doesn't make it to the bottling bucket. I siphon on to the priming sugar rather than boiling a solution.

Very little detritus makes it into the bottling bucket and my bottles are clear, apart from sediment that forms during conditioning.

My biab friend doesn't use a bottling bucket and definitely has more bits in his bottles (trub/dry hop matter) but I think that's technique, rather than the bucket itself.

Interested to hear other peoples mileage.

You can have a tap on a bottling bucket and use a "little bottler" attachment - makes batch priming and bottling so much easier

I have a tap on my primary Fermentor, and I do use a Little Bottler.

I always dose the bottles.. but have had the odd dead one as a consequence, if you can mix a priming charge in well without disturbing the sediment or clarity in your primary FV Well done, and if it aint broke dont fix it ;) me however i dont have those skills.
a bottling bucket is a sure fire way to avoid the odd unprimed bottle and ensuring consistancy but is extra cleaning and sanitation both on the way in and the way out of the job too..

Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store

Much prefer a bottling bucket. Less crap transferred. Can easily add the correct dose of sugar. Can hop-tea. It's an extra bit of washing up but generally more controllable for me.

You can probably get away with it if using a flocculant yeast and you're careful. I prefer to rack it off though for reasons stated above.

Ferment,transfer to secondary, leave until FG is reached,fine leave two more days,transfer to bottling vessel, add priming,stir to mix and then bottle/barrel.
Follow that and you will have crystal clear beer. Ignore fining if you are brewing stout or Biere blanche

+1 to transferring onto boiled solution of sugar + hop tea and using a little bottler.

The time it takes me to bottle and the amount of cursing has been significantly reduced since I've switched to this method...

As I tend to make hoppy beers (huge dry hop) with non-flocculent S05 I use a bottling bucket and just transfer over on top of my solution of sugar then bottle using a little bottler. For a mild/ stout/ bitter I don't bother and just bottle direct from primary - never had any problems.
