I had thought about a counter flow but just love the artistry of all those twisted chillers on their site.
Even if I make a right mess of bending it should still work and possible have some artistic merit.
That's if I find the correct three way manifold!

I love watching the water shoot through my clear counterflow outer hosing.

I used this 16mm stuff: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/151388956984? ... EBIDX%3AIT
Also used 10mm copper. I went oversize on the outer hose because I 100% wanted it to slide through with zero probs. It did. It was through in no time. Used lots of fairy liquid of course...
Cheers floydmeddler,
Managed to get a hold of some 16mm outer hose today, looks the business! Great advise about getting it oversized will make things a hell of a lot easier

Sorry for delay Beer me.
I didn't add the wire as I didn't have the soldering kit. I don't think it matters to be honest. Does look cool though. I think the 16mm hosing allows more water to surround the pipe making it more effective. Someone will prob tell me I'm wrong but it works a treat anyway!
I bring my wort down to 70c to steep hops by recirculating through the chiller. This actually takes longer than chilling it down with my old immersion. Less hassle though so don't mind. When it comes to transferring to the fermenter it leaves the boiler at 70c and is instantly 22ish in the fermenter. I pitch the yeast immediately and set my brewfridge to 18c.

Did you see the YouTube video Floyd where they soldered copper wire to the copper pipe to tubular the water ?

No worries floydmeddler,
I stripped some copper wire from the centre of a tv aerial in the end. Sounds like an effective setup you got going on.
At the stage of getting all my fittings together now and working out what I need. What pump you using to recirculate?
