Cornies on their side

Post by cqout » Thu Jul 16, 2015 6:30 am

Hello everybody

I was just wondering has anybody or does anybody store cornies on their side while full of beers durring aging?

I was thinking i would be able to get more in a fridge and then stand them upright before serving

Pictures would be appreciated :-)

Cheers

Never have but don't see any reason why not.

I used to store cornies on their side with no problem.

It might give you a different flavour profile — a more sort of 'horizontal' taste. :D

The only thing I'd be worried about is getting rubbery flavours from the lid seal.

The only thing I can think of is, while laying down any sediment will be on the side. when you put them upright to dispense, now, you may find you get constant cloudy beer, but there again if you were to disturb any thing on the side it would take a day or so to settle. But other than that..... A Lid oring may give you a soda flavour if it has not ever been changed.
