Suggestions for a Co2 Regulator

Post by Manngold » Wed Jul 08, 2015 6:08 pm

Hi all,

Fairly new to the corny game, I have everything apart from my Co2 regulator and Gas. Can someone tell me if this Co2 regulator will be suitable, or if anyone knows anywhere that for a reasonable price will sell one that will allow me to connect two cornies to it?

The one I have found is this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CO2-MIG-Weldi ... 27f2aff139

Thanks for any advice.

MG

EDIT: Can anyone suggest a Co2 regulator please?

Thanks :)

looks ok but the thing that lets down most regulators is the granularity of the output gauge, when gassing cornies for serving your probably looking to set the pressure at a specific psi between 2-10 psi, if the gauge you use goes up in 4-5 psi increments then its gonna be tough to set the regulator with any degree of accuracy....

However you can always use a 2nd gauge inline on the exit from the regulator or even fit a tyre valve in somehow and use a cheap garage tyre pressure gauge ;)

to serve many cornies at the same pressure all you need is to split the line of with Y or T connectors, if however you want to serve kegs at different pressures a 2ndary regulator is necessary, set your bottle(primary) reg to the highest pressure you want and split that line with a T or Y and plumb up the 2ndary reg to reduce that pressure down for the other kegs..

hope that helps
ist update for months n months..
Fermnting: not a lot..
Conditioning: nowt
Maturing: Challenger smash, and a kit lager
Drinking: dry one minikeg left in the store
Coming Soon Lots planned for the near future nowt for the immediate :(

Thanks Fil. Sorry for the late reply on this one, been in India.

SO in theory it should work for serving beer from my cornies but will take a bit of trial and error?

Can anyone suggest a CO2 regulator that would need no additional gauges and provide an accurate serving pressure from the start?

Thanks

That regulator looks identical to the ones that The Malt Miller sells.

I would suggest that it would be fine.

That gauge would be fine - its a 2 stage giving bottle pressure and output pressure which is usually calibrated to read in increments of 1 or 2 psi with no problems.
