Running 2 pumps?

Post by morlando » Sun Jul 26, 2015 6:29 pm

Hi, I am a bit of novice when it come to the plumbing of beerlines etc so I apologise if this is a dumb question but is it possible to run 2 beer pumps off of 1 barrel / cooler? If so how and where would I connect the second pump. I have a maxi 210 cooler and both pumps have 3 connecting pipes.
Regards

Yes you can run 2 pumps from 1 barrel but why as for the pipes on the beer engine 2 are for water from your maxi cooler as they have water jackets flow and return with the other for beer if you use the jackets there is no need to put your beer through the cooler as everything get to cold and kills the taste =D>

Basically I have a home bar in the garden with the existing pump, was looking to add an additional pump in the house. The 2 x 10mm pipes are the flow and return from the water cooler i take it? the single thin pipe is the one that carries the beer?
Would it be just a case of buying the applicable sized t piece for the pipe?

Yes you can fit a tee but you will have to pull a pint from your outside pump or you will have stale beer sitting there ,doing what you want I feel you are heading for trouble you would be better keeping it as two separate pumps =D>
