Hi all, I just want to share a little find.

Looks like a STC-1000 type controller in a tidy box with heating and cooling sockets. Not as fun or serviceable like a DIY one but it costs about the same.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....old fridge just become available for conversaion and sorting out what I need, only to come across your post - thanks for sharing.

Seems to be all you'd need and as you say, similar cost - possibly cheaper than DIY. Whether you'd want to trust a Chinese import is another question however - particularly as it's being supplied by a wholesaler - not a manufacturer.

Think I'll stick to the tried and tested.

The unit may well have two sockets on the front of it ... but if you read the description the unit is either controlling a heater ... or a cooler ... but not both ... that's not the same facilities as an STC-1000

Yep they were mentioned before the 2 sockets are wired in PARALLEL, not separately switched.

Also those socket arnt permitted for use in the uk
