And for 4£ youve just invalidated your household insurance by using non BS approved connectorsHonestly for 4£ if you have to order the plugs it is much neater and you are not opening up to break and warranty cover

Re: Double sockets
Fair point but then so will an uncertified rewiring of a double socket but I think my route less risky. Still trying to get small EU to UK adapters that would fit in.themadhippy wrote:And for 4£ youve just invalidated your household insurance by using non BS approved connectorsHonestly for 4£ if you have to order the plugs it is much neater and you are not opening up to break and warranty cover
Re: Double sockets
I've been in contact with Inkbird and the UK model of the controller is available on Amazon for £31 delivered. It is a preorder with deliveries starting next week.

I should have one of the euro and UK version shortly to test but judjing by the US reaction they should be fine.
I have also asked them to look at making pre-built PID controllers.

Sweet - looks really nice, and a definite bonus having both set and current temps on display at once.AnthonyUK wrote:I've been in contact with Inkbird and the UK model of the controller is available on Amazon for £31 delivered. It is a preorder with deliveries starting next week.

If I end up making another chamber I'll definitely get one of these.

Re: Double sockets
THanks for the heads up - just ordered one. Even though I just built one, for that price you can't go wrong and it does look nice.. might hasten plans for a second chamber or very basic HLT

i think its good advice myself

Re: Double sockets
Is there a way to have a fan on when it's heating and cooling and off when it's not? Or is it sufficient to just use a double plug on the heating socket and not have the fan working when it's cooling?
Re: Double sockets
My Inkbird arrived today. It tripped out the RCD each time the heater was plugged in, whether it was a tube heater or a simple lamp for testing. I'll return the dud to Amazon, order another one and keep my fingers crossed!
