Has anyone got one of these yet and can tell us thier view/review? Looks a really nice piece of kit. I like how it drains and comes with a sparge and temprature gauge.....

Couple of people on here have them and they have given favourable reviews.
If I did my kit again I'd probably go for one over my converted thermos pot ! I have there 15g kettle and it's a nice bit of kit

Re: SS Mash Tun
Yup I've got one. Lovely piece of kit. It can be a bit of a faf to get the sparge water flow rate right - I gravity feed from my hlt and I'm still fiddling.
Great insulation, 1 degree C or so loss over an hour mash on a mild day in the garage where I brew.
The false bottom \ centre drain work perfectly even for 'big', grain heavy brews.
And it's certainly built to last...

Afaik All the SS brewtech kit has had favourable reviews by those who have invested in it, and the few that had issues with finishes were all replaced no quibble when bought from UK retailers.
However its not that tricky to fit a bottom drain in a bergland thermopot, the stainless steel skins are thin and holes punch out easily with a qmax punch, So you can diy one and buy the tools needed too for less than the cost of one of these, If so inclined.. its not a fun job for everyone.. 80l thermopot for circa £100 and say £70 on a fb valve and drain fitting.. a qmax punch if you cant find a loaner should cost about £15 delivered 20mm for holes to thread 1/2 " bsp fittings through
leak testing my diy build only made possible with advice and hand holding from folks in here,
the tissue paper remained dry btw,,

my bottom drain is offset to the front for ease of fitting And to accommodate a simple forward tip at the end of the draining to reduce loss to deadspace to a negligible volume (50ml?.)
