Jim's Northeast Brewer's Night.

Aye I've been done, open repair, cant feel any mesh or anything. Internally seems much longer scar / lumps than external.

2 weeks on & I've walked/toddled about half a mile to get the last of the supposedly "disolvable stitches" removed which has laid me up, so back to lying on the couch as much as possible for the next few days & see how it goes.

I had a beer the other night so theres hope for me yet

I do enjoy the Sunderland meet's, But maybe a meet up somewhere else might get a few others to come to the party.
What's the thoughts on this ?
Any suggestions for another location in the North East.

I'd agree with that, Sunderland from Morpeth is difficult hence why I've not made one yet! I'd like to. I know Craig (foob4r) is the same. I have met up before with folk in the split chimp near Newcastle station which is on the metro but I'll try and make this one regardless of location. I just can't do Sunderland on a night when I've got travel the following day. Costs a fortune to get a taxi back from Newcastle as well so makes it tricky if I'm late.

Yeah travel can be difficult.
Myself and woblylegs take it in turns to drive 20 miles each way to Sunderland. But it's worth it.
We get to spend the night talking stuff with Jim and Eric.
That, to me, is worth the effort.

I would be up for a Newcastle night out, it has been a while since a new baby so I am just looking for the perfect excuse with the better half ("it will mean you don't have to listen to my beer talk for days...." Hehe)

50 plus each way for me and when I have to drive somewhere crazy like Bristol the following day it's a non starter and every time they have come up recently I've booked myself a stupid trip the day after! Not sure what people are thinking date wise but the half term well which is 25th October would be especially good for me as I'll not be driving anyway the following day.
