What's your normal batch size?
I'm just here for the beer.

29 litres as it gives me the option to fill a no-chill cube if I can' be bothered to use my I/C.

Depends.

Bigger beers may be as low as 18L. My standard batch size is 23L, but occasionally I will stretch things to 30L.

I use a GF30.

To get to 30L I top up post boil with extra sparge liquor before doing the normal chill & transfer.

Seems to work well.

Biggest challenge is then lifting the SS conical full of 30L of wort into the fermentation fridge. Luckily I am a mere 59 so a youngster! 😂
Fermenting: lambic, American Blond
Conditioning: English IPA/Bretted English IPA
Drinking: Helles Bock, Orval clone, Impy stout, Conestoga, Old Hooky clone , Jester single hop pale ale, Simmonds Bitter, cascade wet hop pale
Planning: Kozel dark (ish),and more!

23L is my default, though I will sometimes dilute down to ~25L if I've had an unexpectedly big jump in mash efficiency.

Sometimes I will do 25L and split into 2x 12.5L if I want to experiment with dry hop combos or similar.
