This kind of follows on from my other post which was worries over carbonation in the bottle (viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25461)
My first AG (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=24588) has very little fizz, its 1 week away from maturity, giving it a bit of a lack-lustre taste. (12L batch)
My second AG (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=24918) is better, though obviously younger and needs more time to mature, but still lacking in carbonation. (12L batch)
Both were bottled via bottling bucket and primed with 50g or either Household Sugar or DSM (definitely sugar in AG2) and kept in the warm for 2 weeks after bottling give or take an odd day or two. Both AG brews pour crystal clear with little sediment disturbance
This has been my priming procedure for my Extract Brews and all but the very first has fully carbonated to the point where I think its right, I think my first Extract batch must have been a limp wristed-2-handle-capper session.
Since the 2 handed capper I've bought a proper Bench capper which I hope is doing a better job along with being a lot easier and versatile.
My third AG (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=25412) is in the FV at the moment, due to be bottled around the middle of next week, what am I doing wrong since the start of AG that I was doing right for 6+ extract brews and a similar amount of kit brews????
My last extract brew (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=24735) is already well carbonated and very drinkable.

Oh, and I have read the FAQ section, and my last Extract also rules out my Protafloc question from another thread as I copper finned that as well as the AG's.
Do I have to Prime more or Pitch a bottling yeast? I'm confused, my steps into AG have left me less than effervescent!
Thanks.
