

Turned out my 30 litre boiler holds 20 litres plus grain just nicely.

Water hit 69c and i added the grain. Temperature went down to 65c so I've bought it back to 66c.
The kitchen within 5 mins smells like a malteaser explosion!
going to mash for 90 mins with a stir at 30 and 60.
Lesson number 1 voile floats. I've bought a square of ebay just to try it out and it was a mare trying to get it to sink. Might look at a couple of clean rocks for next time
