1 x Geordie Mild kit
1kg raw unrefined cane sugar
350 g blackstrap molasses syrup
150g fine oatmeal 30 min slow rolling boil then liquor into wort(strained)
25g pioneer hops 15min boil, tea into wort then hops "hop bombed " into primary and will stay there until i rack into secondary( i dont know if this achieves anything i just always do it to extract as much flavour as i can)
This was really just using up stuff floating about especially oatmeal. granted not a particularly well used adjunct but i hoped it might help balance out the raw sugar and add a little body. Done this kit in its most simple form before was ok but nothing to write home about
Have first signs of activity this morning kit yeast pitched at about 20c dry
