Does any1 know where i can get a metal nut which will fit on the thread of a brupaks element.

Where did u get it pal?
just drilled hole for element in pot 2day and fits lile a glove but dont wana over tighten the plastic nut

Ebay, but then bought an element from morley homebrew and it came with the metal nut so didn't need it in the end

I bought element off chris and it came with plastic nut. Cheapest i found was angel homebrew for £2.90
will feel alot better with a metal nut just incase the plastic snaps during a boil which i have heard happen

You picked the top one up, if you'd have looked at the ones underneath they had metal nuts and for the same price. Pisses me of when shops do that, especially to loyal customers.

No worries glad you got sorted.
Been a bit disappointed myself with a few purchases from there recently. I got some saaz hops and some wheat yeast. The hops turned out to be 2010 harvest with an expiry of 2013 and the yeast had expired the month before. It's a shame because it stops people coming back.

I know there is a cheap bin on the table in the shop at the moment, filled with hops and there £2.50.
Most of the hops in the bucket are older crops or slower moving items.

Would be interested in how you get on with the metal nut as I had problems with one and found it was not interchangeable with the original plastic nut (mine was the Ritchies plastic boiler) for some reason. Will keep you updated when i start using it. I have been informed that the element i have comes with plastic and metal nuts. Just depends which pack you pick up

Got this nut and put it on thr pot. Fits good and a little chunky than i was expecting
do you put this on hand tight or use some tool to tigtern this up?
So far have put tgis on hand tight and filled pot up with water and left to see if it leaks so far so good
